There are Gyms across the Galar Region that you can visit with the aim to take admirable title of Champion!
 
When does the new game launch?

New entries in the main series of PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon RPGs arrive on Nintendo Switch simultaneously in November 15th 2019.

Where is PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Shield set?

The PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Sword and PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Shield games take place in the newly discovered Galar Region. Galar is an expansive region with diverse environments - an idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forest and craggy, snow-covered mountains.

What happens in the game?

Player will have the opportunity to visit various Gyms in the Galar region in their quest to become Champion.

What are the starter Pokemon?

Newly discovered partner PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon join in this new iteration of the games - Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble.
 
Introducing The Legendary PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Zacian and Zamazenta!
 

These are the Legendary PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon that will be featured on the packages of PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Sword and PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Shield: 
 
  • Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth.
  • Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield.
 

They are shrouded in mystery and are even unknown to those who live in the Galar region.
 

The Wild Area is a vast expanse of land in the Galar region with untamed wilderness. While in the Wild Area, players can control the camera to explore the vast areas around them and search for PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon and items. Trainers will find a greater variety of PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon living in the Wild Area than anywhere else in the Galar region. 
 

Max Raid Battles are a new battle format that takes place in the Wild Area, in which the player will team up with three other Trainers to take on a wild Dynamax PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon. Trainers will then get a chance to catch the wild Dynamax PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon if they manage to defeat it - but it won’t go down easily 
 

Dynamax is a phenomenon unique to specific locations in the Galar region, where PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon can take on gigantic appearances during battle, and it’s an integral part of PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon battles in the region. All the moves of a Dynamax PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon will turn into special Max Moves!
 

The Legendary PokÃÆ’Æâ€â„¢©mon Zacian and Zamazenta are shrouded in mystery and are unknown even to those who live in the Galar region
