The Double Dragon series has defined the belt-scroll action genre ever since it hit the arcades in 1987. Now it returns as Double Dragon Revive, thanks to the passionate support of retro game fans over the years! 15 years have passed since the end of the nuclear war. The survivors have built colonies in various parts of the devastated world to make their homes. However, over these 15 years, the concept of nations has been lost, and the powerful people who govern the colonies now control politics and make the laws.
This colony established on the coast is one such city, ruled by some of these powerful people: a gang called the Shadow Warriors.
Since their rise to power, the gap between rich and poor in the colony has intensified. People living in the slums struggle to get by, and there are constant rumors of mysterious disappearances. The Lee brothers, masters of the Sosetsuken, live in a corner of the city with their childhood friend Marian.
